Thermal Efficient Doors = Dollars + Sense

Recently in Auckland, New Zealand, a high profile cold storage company discovered a major drop in energy use, of almost 40%, only one month after they implemented 11 thermal efficient EBS THERMOspeed doors. All of a sudden there was an urgency to find out exactly what returns they could expect from their most recent investment.

A recent independent study was conducted at the Massey University in Auckland NZ, comparing the thermal efficiencies of conventional rapid roll doors and strip curtains to that of the EBS THERMOspeed rapid roll door.

The calculations included in this report, were produced by Mr J. Thomas – Tutor at Massey University, Auckland New Zealand. Mr Thomas researched methods for calculating thermal loads on cold stores - Supervised by Professor G. Wake and Professor R. McKibbin.

The report illustrates the significant energy efficiency/savings gained, when EBS THERMOspeed doors are installed in climate controlled environments - Access the Enviroment Efficiency report via our Download page.
